Introducing the IGEL Technology Professional (ITP) Program

At their core, every great community is powered by passionate people. People who love to create, take time to help others, and openly share their work for the greater cause. Across the tech landscape, this was just as true in the early days of notable participants to mailing lists, newsgroups, and bulletin boards as it is with modern blogs and today’s cloud-delivered content platforms. Many of us have personally lived through the transition.

At IGEL, we’re fortunate to have seen this spirit of technical contribution alive and thriving in our global community for years – admins, architects, partners, and more who not only push the boundaries of what’s possible at the secure endpoint – they help the industry define it. The IGEL Community itself consists of over 550K messages from more than 9,200 companies across 112 countries. And the numbers are rapidly growing every day. Currently, our most passionate “community hero” contributors have been the IGEL VIPs who selflessly share technical knowledge in our ecosystem.

Today, we’re incredibly excited to announce that the IGEL VIP Program is evolving into the IGEL Technology Professional (ITP) Program starting in 2026. This new program will embrace many of the core traits of VIP but with expanded focus and benefits. We’re establishing the ITP Program as the industry’s leading technical recognition program for IGEL, EUC, and endpoint security experts everywhere.

Why the change?

As we wrap up 2025 and look towards 2026, IGEL as a company has evolved from where it was just a few years ago. We’re not just delivering far more virtual desktops for customers than ever before, we’re delivering far more value overall in several key areas. We have Zero Trust architectures and integrations with vendors such as Zscaler, enterprise browsers with Island and Prisma Access, and over 125 IGEL Ready alliance partners across broad industry domains – many with integrations in the IGEL App Portal. IGEL Dual Boot^TM is redefining the BCDR story at the endpoint, IGEL Managed Hypervisor^TM helps securely deliver legacy Windows workloads, and IGEL is used for OT/IT convergence across critical industries every day. Plus, there were many more exciting announcements this week as part of our Now & Next Frankfurt event.

The innovation engine and technical partnerships are continuing to steam ahead here at IGEL. As such, we felt the time was right to create a new program that best represents where IGEL is at and where it is heading while also building upon the solid foundation of our existing top-tier IGEL VIP Program and overall strength of the IGEL Community.

What is the IGEL Technology Professional (ITP) Program?

The mission of the program is…

To recognize and reward the important technical contributions of select individuals within the IGEL Community. Those who openly share their product knowledge and demonstrate a selfless passion for helping others implement IGEL, EUC, and security solutions at the endpoint to solve real-world challenges.

ITPs are original technical content creators in our ever-expanding ecosystem. They produce technical blogs, white papers, deployment guides, and reference architectures. They speak on technical subjects at local and virtual events. And they share technical ideas and answers within our Community on Slack (among other things). ITPs consist of both customers and partners.

What’s in it for members? Driving mutual value is very important to us at IGEL. Members can expect many of the same benefits available in the VIP Program plus exciting new benefits such as more regular webinars with PM/ENG/leadership, exclusive event access, early-access content, and cool new swag among other things. Aside from the benefits, some reasons you (or someone you know) might want to join the program include industry recognition, potential career growth, a platform for content, and the mechanism to take your ability to help others to the next level.

What about other similar IGEL technical programs available today?
At IGEL, there are several other technical programs that already exist. The new ITP Program is now IGEL’s top-tier, exclusive technical recognition program. While all of the programs below are also technical and have some of the benefits of ITP, only ITP is focused on original technical content creation and sharing at the highest level.

• IGEL Insider. The IGEL Community technical rewards program for individuals who have helped others, evangelized IGEL technologies, and otherwise made an impact.
• IGEL Global Ambassador. The IGEL program for sharing your unique customer story of your IGEL implementation. Ideal for both IGEL practitioners and IGEL-focused business/leadership roles.
• IGEL Champions Club. The EMEA-based IGEL program for channel partners and resellers who have demonstrated significant hands-on experience with IGEL technologies across diverse customer deployments.

Each one of the above programs serves a specific purpose within our ecosystem and will continue on as planned at this time. Just as there are members belonging to multiple programs today, we encourage members of these programs to apply for ITP and realize a greater level of recognition and engagement within our growing community.
