IGEL and Alludo – Delivering Secure-by-Design Digital Workspaces

IGEL and Alludo – Delivering Secure-by-Design Digital Workspaces

In just a few short days, the IGEL Now & Next 2025, the Ultimate Endpoint Security and EUC Event of the Year, will come to EMEA.

The four-day conference will take place from November 3rd to 6th at the Congress Center at Frankfurt Messe. It will feature keynote addresses by industry leaders and experts, as well as detailed sessions on Healthcare, Finance, Government, Retail, and Manufacturing sectors. Additionally, there will be breakout discussions focused on EUC and cybersecurity, along with presentations of innovative strategies, solutions, and insights from IGEL partners.

Among the IGEL Ready partners sponsoring and presenting at IGEL Now & Next Frankfurt is Alludo, which will demonstrate to attendees how Parallels RAS simplifies workspace delivery without compromising flexibility, security, or user experience.

We sat down with Steven Dewinter, Sr. Global Director of Sales Engineering at Alludo, to learn more about what attendees can expect to see and learn from the company at IGEL Now & Next 2025 in Frankfurt.

Tell us about your company and how you partner with IGEL.

Steven Dewinter: Parallels is a global leader in cross-platform solutions that make it simple for businesses and individuals to access and deliver applications, desktops, and files securely from anywhere. Parallels RAS (Remote Application Server) provides a unified, cost-effective, and secure virtual workspace for modern hybrid work environments.

Our partnership with IGEL focuses on ensuring exceptional interoperability between Parallels RAS and IGEL OS. Together, we enable organizations to deliver secure, high-performance virtual desktops and applications to IGEL-powered endpoints, while simplifying IT management and enhancing end-user experience.

What are some things your organization is doing with IGEL to shape what’s Now & Next in EUC?

Steven Dewinter: Parallels RAS and IGEL share a vision of secure, simple, and flexible digital workspaces. Together, we’re helping organizations modernize their end-user computing (EUC) strategies by:

  • Delivering a secure-by-design workspace that’s cost-efficient and simple to manage for organizations
  • Optimizing performance and user experience for virtual apps and desktops
  • Supporting a hybrid, multi-cloud future, where customers can easily deploy Parallels RAS on-premises, in Azure, or on other cloud platforms, all while maintaining endpoint consistency with IGEL OS

What are the advantages of combining IGEL’s Preventative Security Model™ with your solution offerings? How does it benefit our mutual customers?

Steven Dewinter: The combination creates a Zero Trust-aligned endpoint and application delivery environment. IGEL reduces the attack surface at the endpoint by design, while Parallels RAS secures access at the application/desktop and data layers.

Together, this means:

  • No data leaves the datacenter or cloud—only pixels are transmitted.
  • Endpoints remain read-only and tamper-resistant.
  • IT teams gain full control and visibility, with minimal management overhead.

This integrated approach delivers a robust, secure, and easy-to-manage digital workspace for our joint customers.

How has being a part of the IGEL Ready program improved your business or enhanced the customer experience?

Steven Dewinter: Being part of the IGEL Ready program has strengthened both our solutions and our joint value to customers. Parallels RAS and IGEL complement each other perfectly, because as Parallels RAS delivers a secure, centralized infrastructure for application and desktop delivery, IGEL provides a robust and secure endpoint environment.

Together, we offer customers a fully integrated end-to-end workspace solution, designed for interoperability and optimized performance.

From a business standpoint, it has allowed us to reach more customers exploring secure workspace modernization, particularly in healthcare industries where endpoint security and compliance are critical.

What key trends impact your partners and customers as we close out 2025? How is your organization addressing these?

Steven Dewinter: We see customers increasingly focused on optimizing costs associated with their remote application and desktop delivery. Ultimately, security and cost remain the two main factors shaping IT decisions, and finding the right balance between both is critical.

Additionally, the EUC market continues to experience significant change and consolidation, creating uncertainty for many organizations and prompting them to re-evaluate their digital workspace strategies. In this environment, customers are looking for choice and flexibility, both in how they deploy and in the platforms they use.

We also see a shift happening in terms of hypervisors, with many organizations reassessing their infrastructure options to ensure long-term stability and control.

Parallels RAS directly addresses these needs by offering a secure, scalable, and cost-effective hybrid workspace platform that can run on-premises, in the cloud, or across multiple environments, delivering true flexibility and investment protection for our customers and partners.

Why is your organization sponsoring IGEL Now & Next 2025 Frankfurt?

Steven Dewinter: We believe Now & Next is one of the premier EUC events for thought leadership. Sponsoring it reinforces our commitment to the IGEL ecosystem and gives us the opportunity to connect with partners and customers who share our mission of delivering secure, simple, and sustainable digital workspaces.

What will you/your team present to attendees at IGEL Now & Next?

Steven Dewinter: Delivering applications and desktops for a hybrid workforce doesn’t have to be complex, costly, or difficult to manage. At Now & Next 2025, we’ll demonstrate how Parallels RAS simplifies workspace delivery without compromising flexibility, security, or user experience. Built as an all-in-one platform, Parallels RAS allows IT teams to deliver applications and desktops on any device, from any location, while keeping administration effortless and costs predictable.

As part of the IGEL Ready ecosystem, Parallels RAS integrates with IGEL OS. This collaboration, recognized with the IGEL Ready Platform App of the Year award in 2024, delivers a consistent and sustainable user experience across environments.

We’ll also showcase Parallels Browser Isolation, our solution designed to secure web access and protect users from browser-based threats. With Parallels Browser Isolation, organizations can safely enable access to modern SaaS and web applications from within the same unified workspace, extending the Zero Trust approach from endpoints to the web layer.

Join us at the booth or during the engaging session for live demos showing how Parallels RAS, IGEL, and Parallels Browser Isolation together simplify IT management, strengthen security, and empower a more efficient hybrid workforce.

What do you hope attendees learn at IGEL Now & Next?

Steven Dewinter: We want attendees to walk away with a clear understanding of who Parallels is and how we can help them simplify and secure their workspace environments. Many organizations know us historically from Parallels Desktop, our solution that allows users to run Windows on Mac devices, but not everyone knows we offer a complete, flexible solution for delivering applications and desktops across any infrastructure.

We’re proud that Parallels RAS has again been recognized by Gartner® as a Visionary in the Magic Quadrant™ for VDI and DaaS, reflecting the progress we’ve made in innovation and customer value. Our goal at Now & Next is to show IT leaders that there is a modern, reliable, and cost-efficient alternative available today, one that integrates with IGEL and helps them build a secure, future-ready digital workspace.

What do you/your team hope to take away from participating in IGEL Now & Next?

Steven Dewinter: We’re looking forward to exchanging ideas with customers, partners, and industry peers so that we can understand their real-world challenges and priorities for the coming years. These insights help us continue evolving Parallels RAS to meet the needs of modern IT environments.

In addition, we hope to explore new business opportunities and new partnerships within the IGEL ecosystem, while also learning about IGEL’s latest innovations and roadmap, so we can continue delivering top-tier workspace solutions together.

Just for fun: Please share the books you have recently read or podcasts you have listened to that you would recommend to others.

Steven Dewinter: I don’t read a lot of books, but I do enjoy listening to podcasts. One of my favorites is Nerdland, a Dutch-language podcast where the hosts dive into technology, science, and interesting stories from the world of innovation. It’s a great mix of insights on what happened in the last month, humor, and practical discussion that always gives me new ideas and perspectives.
