IGEL and Omnissa: Helping Customers to Streamline Management, Strengthen Security, and Drive Cost Savings

In just a few short days, IGEL Now & Next 2025, the Ultimate Endpoint Security and EUC Event of the Year, is coming to EMEA. The four-day conference will take place from November 3rd to 6th at the Congress Center at Frankfurt Messe. It will feature keynote addresses by industry leaders and experts, as well as detailed sessions on Healthcare, Finance, Government, Retail, and Manufacturing sectors. Additionally, there will be breakout discussions focused on EUC and cybersecurity, along with presentations of innovative strategies, solutions, and insights from IGEL partners.

Among the IGEL Ready partners sponsoring and presenting at IGEL Now & Next Frankfurt is Omnissa, which will showcase all aspects of the Omnissa platform – whether it’s VDI and DaaS with Horizon, Apps with App Volumes and Apps on Demand, or UEM with Workspace ONE UEM – and how the company offers joint solutions with each across the IGEL portfolio.

We sat down with Jeff Ulatoski, Director of Product Management at Omnissa, to learn more about what attendees can expect to see and learn from the company at IGEL Now & Next 2025 in Frankfurt.

Could you tell us about your company and how you partner with IGEL?

Jeff Ulatoski: Omnissa is the digital work platform leader, trusted by thousands of organizations worldwide as the former VMware EUC business. We are on a mission to deliver solutions that empower our customers’ employees to do their best work from anywhere with smart, seamless, and secure experiences.

We have been partnering with IGEL for over 10 years, delivering simplified workflows, strengthening data security, and elevating user experience for our joint customers. Integrations between Omnissa Horizon, Omnissa Workspace ONE, and IGEL OS have helped customers streamline management, bolster security, and reduce costs.

What are some things your organization is doing with IGEL to shape what’s Now & Next in EUC?

Jeff Ulatoski: While we have joint customers using Horizon and IGEL OS together for many years, we’re excited to collaborate with IGEL to bring forth even more value through our Omnissa Platform.

Customers can use Omnissa App Volumes and Apps on Demand to reduce app delivery costs across virtual and physical Windows endpoints, including desktops running on the IGEL Managed Hypervisor (IMH). Omnissa Workspace ONE UEM can be used to manage IGEL OS devices, IGEL IMH, and Horizon environments from a single console. For what’s next, we’re integrating Omnissa Intelligence with IGEL Insights for deep visibility into device health, app performance, and user experience.

What are the advantages of combining IGEL’s Preventative Security Model™ with your solution offerings? How does it benefit our mutual customers?

Jeff Ulatoski: By combining IGEL’s Preventative Security Model™ with the Omnissa Platform, customers can strengthen their endpoint security, while unifying management. For example, IGEL OS supports Omnissa Horizon Cloud next-gen with integrated authentication using Omnissa Access, providing secure workflows to Horizon Cloud desktops. Furthermore, one-touch onboarding with real-time compliance checks and conditional access enables Workspace ONE UEM security and management to IGEL OS endpoints.

How has being a part of the IGEL Ready program improved your business or enhanced the customer experience?

Jeff Ulatoski: Being a part of the IGEL Ready program allows Omnissa to easily showcase our joint solutions. Customers can quickly find out the value proposition of what we offer and support together. The program gives customers the confidence in knowing our solutions have been validated and are interoperable, which is a key tenet in giving customers who want to use truly integrated products from different vendors an enhanced experience.

What key trends impact your partners and customers as we close out 2025? How is your organization addressing/aligning your solution offerings with these trends?

Jeff Ulatoski: We are seeing endpoint security, employee experience, and endpoint management converging to drive better measurable business outcomes. This trend aligns well with customers using or considering our Omnissa platform as their digital work platform. We want customers to leverage the technology of their choice, which is why our ecosystem approach, in collaboration with key partners like IGEL, extracts even more value for customers. Another, more obvious trend centers around AI adoption. We unveiled our four-part AI trust model that has led us to launch value-added services like Omni, our AI chat assistant, and announce our Omnissa AI agentic service.

Why is your organization sponsoring Now & Next 2025 Frankfurt?

Jeff Ulatoski: We’re proud to sponsor IGEL Now and Next at the Diamond level, as it demonstrates our commitment to IGEL and EUC for our joint customers. Bringing together EUC vendors, customers, and partners who can gain insights, sharpen their skills, and level up the entire EUC industry is what it’s all about. The Frankfurt location represents a fantastic regional opportunity to meet with EMEA customers and partners in attendance.

What will you present to attendees at Now & Next 2025?

Jeff Ulatoski: Omnissa will be highlighting what’s now and next with our Omnissa platform. We’ll present all aspects of our platform – whether it’s VDI and DaaS with Horizon, Apps with App Volumes and Apps on Demand, or UEM with Workspace ONE UEM – and how we offer joint solutions with each across the IGEL portfolio.

What do you hope to take away from participating in Now & Next 2025?

Jeff Ulatoski: As we close out 2025, we hope to gather feedback from customers and partners to help shape our roadmap, portfolio, and integrations.

Do you have any examples of joint customers who have benefited from working with Omnissa and IGEL?

Jeff Ulatoski: We have several great customer stories, including:

  • Florence Bank: IGEL OS and Horizon securely connect remote and hybrid workforces while achieving cost savings of between $100,000 and $150,000 by extending the hardware refresh cycles.
  • COCC: Together, IGEL and Omnissa enable COCC’s iWorkstation offering to empower financial institutions to securely and seamlessly deploy cloud-delivered workspaces to community banks and credit unions throughout the Northeastern United States.
