Introducing IGEL Accelerator for Omnissa Horizon

A popular African proverb says “if you want to go fast, you go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” It’s the kind of message that shows up on office walls and keynote slides – but its truth hits hardest when the stakes are real. Speed is exhilarating (I’m a roller coaster enthusiast myself) and it feels productive, decisive, and efficient. But distance? Going the distance demands planning, perspective, and people. An experienced team that’s with you throughout the entire journey – that’s just as true on an African safari as it is in the world of end-user computing. So, how does one build themselves a trusted team to go the distance and deliver real results?

Today at IGEL’s Now & Next Conference in Miami Beach, Florida, we introduced the IGEL Accelerator for Omnissa Horizon. This service-based offering is exclusive for existing Omnissa customers in the Horizon® Accelerator™ Program who are already realizing value from Omnissa’s team of VDI experts. This new, similar offering on the IGEL side ensures our joint customers will now have a secure endpoint expert to assist throughout their digital workspace transformation projects and beyond. The right resources from two leading vendors and strategic partners who are committed to customer success for the end-to-end solution.

The Plan, Build, and Run Approach

From the early days of discussion with Omnissa on this offering, a key goal was to ensure we were as “lockstep” as possible amongst both companies – designing with the customer in mind for the most frictionless experience possible. To that end, at IGEL, we aligned to Omnissa’s existing three-phase circular model of plan, build, and run. This approach consists of several specific phases in which the Omnissa and IGEL teams are delivering services to customers from the initial design and preparation through user acceptance testing and ongoing lifecycle maintenance activities.

From a higher-level perspective, there are some activities and services which we jointly deliver with Omnissa (or match in a similar way). And then there’s distinct services that each vendor provides particular to the focus domains (secure endpoint or VDI infrastructure).

More Details on The Offering

Let’s take a closer look at what’s included within our IGEL Accelerator for Omnissa Horizon. There are two levels based on IGEL subscription count – one up to 5,000 seats and another for more than 5,000. One fairly obvious point that I’ll call out is that the IGEL subscription count (for endpoints) is independent of the Omnissa subscription count (for virtual desktops). These offerings provide customers with a dedicated resource for all technical aspects of their IGEL deployment. The experts are part of our experienced Technical Relationship Manager (TRM) Team but offer more comprehensive services as part of this program. The table below covers the specific services provided for each of the two tiers.
